Members of the Whitehouse Independent School District Board of Trustees officially named Dr. Christopher Moran as the new Superintendent of Schools during Tuesday’s regular board meeting. Moran will begin his role as Superintendent of Schools for WISD on April 18, 2016.
“It is an honor to join the Whitehouse ISD family. I recognize the outstanding quality of teachers and campus leadership in the district,” Dr. Moran said. “The Board of Trustees and I share a common vision of holding excellence as our standard, with a laser focus on academics for the benefit of every student in Whitehouse ISD.”
Dr. Moran has served as Superintendent of Schools for Brownsboro Independent School District since 2011. Moran earned his Texas superintendent certification and doctorate in education at Stephen F. Austin State University. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor of Science from Evangel University, a Master of Education from the University of Texas at Tyler and has held various professional positions at Franklin Road Christian School in Southfield, Michigan, Ingram ISD, Whitehouse ISD and Clear Creek ISD.
Dr. Moran and his wife Christa are proud parents to four children, Rebekah, 18, Elisabeth, 15, Susanna, 12, and David, 8.
