Whitehouse High School Early Release

Whitehouse High School has closed for the remainder of the day and students have been released early. Parents wishing to pick students up can do so at Holloway 6th Grade Campus gym at 701 E. Main Street.

Students may return to the WHS campus to pick up personal belongings left behind.

The campus offices will close at 3:30 p.m. today, Friday, November 6, 2015.

Annual Trick or Treat Trail

The WHS Student Council will host their annual Trick or Treat Trail, Tuesday, October 27, from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the high school. Over 20 clubs and organizations will have games and booths set up that are appropriate for all ages. Candy and face painting are all available at no charge.

Two WHS Seniors Earn Award

Two Whitehouse High School students, Maggie M. Beard and Kendal L. Updike, have been named Commended Students in the 2016 National Merit Scholarship Program. A Letter of Commendation from the school and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), which conducts the program, will be presented by the WHS principal to these scholastically talented WHS seniors.

Whitehouse School Board Meeting Summary September 14, 2015

Whitehouse Independent School Board members heard a presentation detailing the Texas Education Agency’s Accountability Rating System by Sonja Johnston, WISD district-wide testing coordinator and secondary math instructional consultant, during the September 14 board meeting. During the presentation, each campus principal also spoke about the achievements of their campus and outlined goals to address areas that need improvement.
