Final Exam Week Information

Dear Parents,
Winter break and semester exams are quickly approaching. Please refer to the attached bell schedule for our semester exams set to take place on December 16, 17 & 18. On Wednesday, Dec. 16 and Thursday, Dec. 17 the semester exams will finish at 12:30. The buses will still run at the regularly scheduled time of 3:15. Friday, Dec. 18 the semester exam will finish at 10:55 and buses will run at 1:00.
If you would like us to monitor your student in the cafeteria until the buses run at 3:15 for Wednesday and Thursday and 1:00 for Friday, please fill out the form associated in the story link.
We will have a check-in process for the students that require monitoring. If your student does not show-up in the cafeteria then you will be contacted. Otherwise, students will be allowed to leave each day when the semester exams have concluded.

WHS hosted its annual College Day Fair on Thursday, November 19th, 2015 for all Juniors and Seniors with over 40 institutions including two and four year public and private colleges and universities, technical institutes, military, and college planning programs participating.

Two Whitehouse FFA Members Earn Top Awards at Area Speaking Contest

Kailey Clarke, of the Whitehouse FFA Chapter, placed first in the Sr. FFA Creed Speaking Contest at the Area VI Leadership Development Event held November 14, and will advance to the state contest to be held at Sam Houston State University December 4th.

Devyn Sorrells, of the Whitehouse FFA Chapter, placed fifth in the FFA Creed Speaking Contest at the Area VI Leadership Development Event held November 14.

East TX Community Foundation (ETCF) Scholarship Presentation-November 9, 2015

The East Texas Community Foundation (ETCF) will sponsor a scholarship presentation on Monday evening, November 9, 2015 beginning at 6:30p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Mrs. Mary Smith will go over the many different scholarships that ETCF supports in the East Texas area, including those that go specifically to Whitehouse High School seniors.

Wildcat Band Earns 27th Consecutive 1's at UIL Marching Contest

The Wildcat Band participated in the Region 21 UIL Marching Contest Saturday Evening at SFA University and was awarded a First Division Rating for their performance. This marks the 25th year that the band has scored the highest award out of the past 27 years!!!
Mr. Whitley and the Wildcat Band appreciate all the support that is given to the band each year. The attached video is filmed up high so you can see what the band is actually doing, something you can’t see at a football game halftime! The kids are very proud of what they have accomplished and would like for their teachers and friends to watch, it is 5:45 seconds long.
