The Whitehouse Independent School District is dedicated to preparing all students through the shared responsibility of teachers, students, parents and community to live successfully in today’s society.
The City of Whitehouse is located six miles south of Tyler in a beautiful piney woods area west of Lake Tyler in East Texas. The City of Whitehouse and Whitehouse ISD are located in Smith County. The county seat is located in Tyler. According to the U.S. Census Bureau decennial report from 2010, the population of the City of Whitehouse was 7,845. The population of Smith County was approximately 210,000 ranking it among the top 25 in population of the 254 Texas Counties according to the same census report. There are approximately 4,700 students being educated in our district each day, ranging from early childhood to twelfth grade. We employ approximately 600 individuals which include 300 certified teachers.
