The Summer School Program

This program is for Whitehouse students, grades 6-12 to receive remediation for courses failed during the regular term.

 

Registration

               Date:  Tuesday, June 5 & Wednesday, June 6

               Time: 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 12:30-3:00 p.m.

               Place: High School Office

               Late Registration:  June 7th ($25 late fee)

 

               *All students should register at the High School Office. 

 

Note

All summer school students must have at registration

  • Written approval from their principal or counselor verifying he-she needs to attend summer school and,
  • A report card showing the course or courses needing remediation.
  • No student will be allowed to register for summer school if they received a final grade of 59 or below on their report card without prior approval from their principal and counselor.

No student will be allowed to enroll after June 11th.

 

Schedule

               Summer School Begins              June 11th

               Summer School Ends                   July 13th

*There will be no school July 4th.

 

Each class will meet for two hours each day of the five days a week.

 

               First Session                     7:30 a.m. –   9:30 a.m.

               Break                                   9:30 a.m. –   9:45 a.m.

               Second Session             9:45 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.

 

All classes will be held at Whitehouse High School. 

PROGRESS REPORTS

 

Each student will be given a progress report in each subject on the last day of each week showing the student’s average and absences. Please notify the school if you do not receive a progress report.

 

Regular school rules and regulations of student conduct will be followed with the following exceptions:

 

  • There will be no SOS.
  • Students proving to be a discipline problem and needing to be sent from class will receive an absence if they are suspended.  All suspensions will be on a day-to-day basis.  Each day of suspension will constitute an absence.
  • Two tardies to class will result in an absence being recorded.

 

 

NOTE:  STUDENTS WHO MISS MORE THAN THREE DAYS OF INSTRUCTION, RECEIVE THREE DAYS OF ABSENCES DUE TO TARDIES OR A COMBINATION OF THE TWO WILL BE REMOVED FROM SUMMER SCHOOL.

 

TUITION:             $120.00 PER COURSE
                                 $25.00 LATE REGISTRATION FEE

Note:  Complete payment for tuition needs to be made on the day of registration.

 

Any student receiving no credit for a course will not be refunded any part of the tuition.

 

If a student attends one or more classes and is withdrawn from school NO PART OF THE TUITION WILL BE REFUNDED.

NOTE:  Any course offering that has less than 10 students enrolled per session will not be offered.  No class offering will be substituted for a subject failed which is not offered.  This is a tentative list of courses.  Some courses may be added due to student request.
