D.A.T.E. (District Awards for Teacher Excellence) was created by the 79th Legislature, 3rd Special Session, 2006 and was modified by House Bill 3646, 81st Legislature, 2009 as a program to provide funding to support the establishment of district-wide goals and the implementation of a financial award system designed to award teachers for positively impacting student achievement.

Whitehouse Independent School District has been awarded funds for Cycle 2 of this grant and has initiated a TEA approved program to reward teachers for improving student achievement throughout our district.
