All students new to WISD will need to bring the following information when registering for classes:


• Student’s birth certificate
• Student’s social security card
• Student’s immunization record
• Proof of residency such as utility bill and lease agreement with all residents listed or property tax statement and utility bill
• Enrolling parent’s drivers license
• Legal documents such as divorce decree, custody documents, restraining orders, etc.
• Copy of prior year’s TAKS results (grades 4-12)
• Previous school records such as withdrawal records/last report card (if applicable)

Eligibility requirements for students to enroll in the WISD four year old prekindergarten program are as follows:
• Eligibility for the free and reduced lunch program, or
• Eligibility for the English as a Second Language Program (ESL), or
• Student designated as homeless, or
• Student of active duty member of the armed forces of the US, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who is ordered to active duty by proper authority, or
• Student of a member of the armed forces of the US, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, injured or killed while serving on active duty, or
• Forster child, or
• Child who is or ever has been in the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services

*Elementary Attendance Zone Maps are located at the Administration Bldg, at all campuses, and on www.whitehouseisd.org.

*Assignments for PreK and Head Start students will be based on space and availability. If space is not available at the campus in your attendance zone, final placement will be based on the order that completed applications are received.

Bus Information: If you are new to the district or have relocated within the district since the end of the 2010-2011 school year and plan to utilize the district’s school buses, please contact the Transportation Department at 903-839-5570.
