State Tournament Broadcast Information

Option 1: If you're planning to watch the State Playoffs from home, there are links on the UIL website that will let you know what channel to watch based on your cable provider.

Option 2: You can watch the game online through the National High School Sports Network. However, you will have to buy a subscription. There are multiple options. A one day subscription is $9. 95. They go up from there.

After a thrilling series vs. the Lufkin Panthers, the Whitehouse Wildcats will head to the State Finals Tournament at Dell Diamond in Round Rock where they will face the Grapevine Mustangs. The first pitch is 4 p.m. this Thursday, June 9.

House Bill (HB) 2610 passed by the 84th Texas Legislature replaced the requirement for 180 days of instruction each school year to now require 75,600 minutes of instruction each school year. Due to the passage of HB 2610, WISD made the decision to move to a 176 student day calendar for 2016-2017. This allows the district to implement an additional day of staff development for teachers and staff.

Students Film Sun Spot

Students and their teacher at Whitehouse High School recently shot video of a sunspot. These dark spots on the face of the Sun are caused when kinks form in the Sun's magnetic field, making the spot slightly cooler than the rest of the Sun's surface.
