2018 - 2019 District Calendar

Monday, March 5th, the Whitehouse ISD Board of Trustees adopted the proposed calendar for the 2018-19 school year.

No injuries in bus-related accident


"On Monday, March 5th, 2018, Whitehouse ISD Bus 104 was rear-ended on FM 346 west of Paluxy. First responders and WISD Administrators immediately responded to the situation. One student was transported to a local hospital for precautionary measures. No other injuries were reported. The remaining students were transported to their campus on time for school."

Whitehouse High School safe and secure

Early Thursday morning, February 22, 2018, at Whitehouse High School, rumors circulated about a student having a weapon on campus. Administration immediately responded and question all students involved. Law enforcement performed a search. No weapon was found. Whitehouse High School students are safe and secure. Law enforcement will remain on campus, as usual.

High School student artwork chosen for Youth Art Month Celebration Exhibit

Congratulations High School student Meagan Killian!

Meagan's artwork has been chosen for the second year in a row to be displayed at Youth Art Month Celebration Exhibit in Austin.

Each teacher is asked to send in artwork to be considered for the show. If selected, the Governor and/or his wife will go through the show and pick 10-12 pieces to hang in the capitol. The students are draped at the celebration with a medal that signifies them as Texas State Artists.

Meagan also won the Congressional Art Competition and will be honored in DC this summer.

Junior High cheerleaders place First in Tyler competition

Your Whitehouse Jr. High cheerleaders competed in the Tyler 2nd annual "I Love Cheer" triple-elimination cheer tournament against 8 other teams Saturday and won! They were undefeated throughout they entire tournament!

In round one the girls competed their chant and scored a 94 out of 100!

In round two the girls competed their cheer and scored a 95 out of 100!

In round three the girls competed their routine and scored a 96 out of 100!

In the first round of finals the girls competed their chant, cheer, and routine back to back and scored a 97 out of 100!

In the final round of the day the girls again competed their chant, cheer, and routine back to back for a final score of 96 that earned them an undefeated record and first place!

"It was an exciting day for the WJHS cheer program! Winning first was amazing and seeing the late night practices, Christmas break practices, and early morning practices all be worth it was an amazing feeling! However, the one thing that stood out most was the character of each girl on the squad. Throughout the entire tournament the girls cheered on every other squad, wished every team good luck and said, 'good job' after each performance. To top it off they were gracious and humble with their win. These are some awesome student athletes we have!" - Coach Alisa Everett
