Strengthening Families Workshop

Whitehouse ISD is hosting a program this Fall called Strengthening Families. It is designed to provide support and education for families to build stronger bonds and a brighter future. House Bill (HB) 2610 passed by the 84th Texas Legislature replaced the requirement for 180 days of instruction each school year to now require 75,600 minutes of instruction each school year. Due to the passage of HB 2610, WISD made the decision to move to a 176 student day calendar for 2016-2017. This allows the district to implement an additional day of staff development for teachers and staff.

Whitehouse Junior League Lady Cats

The Lady Cat Junior League held its first ever maroon and white game last week to close out the season. The teams were made up of fifth and sixth grade Junior League participants and was held in the high school arena.

Holloway Launches New Builders Club

The Kiwanis Builders Club is designed to build leaders through service projects. The goal of the group is to conduct two service projects each semester. One project will directly benefit the Holloway campus while the other benefits the community.
