About Me

I teach Physics and Astronomy at the High School. I came here from spending 5 years in New Jersey, but grew up in West Texas. I am happy to be back in Texas. I have two children attending Whitehouse schools and we all bleed maroon. My kids are involved in football and cheer and we are excited to attend Wildcat sporting events.
I got my B.S. in Physics, with a minor in Mathematics, from Brigham Young University (BYU) in 2007. From there, I went on to graduate school at the University of Utah, where I studied biophsyics and worked in an optical physics research lab. I graduated with my M.S. in Physics in 2014. My first job after graduate school was in the manufacturing industry, but I switched to teaching three years ago and I wish I had started sooner.
