Principal's Message

Welcome to Brown Elementary School and the 2018-2019 School Year! We hope you and your family enjoyed your summer break and  are ready to get started with the learning. We are honored to be in our new building and look forward to a fantastic year of learning and growing.

I have been married to my husband, Ron for 24 years and we are the proud parents of three amazing boys– Matthew, 23, Marc 21, and Luke 19.  We have been residents of the Tyler area for the past 18 years.  I strongly believe that it is our responsibility to develop the whole child and will focus on creating an academic learning environment that fosters a love for learning in all aspects of the school setting.  I encourage each of you to become actively involved in your child’s academic journey by joining our incredible PTO or by signing up to volunteer in your child’s classroom.

If we can be of assistance in  any fashion, please let us know.  We look forward  to building a school-to-home relationship that will have a positive impact on student learning.

Assistant Principal’s Message

I am very excited to be at Brown Elementary again this year.  The atmosphere at Brown is amazing!  We are all about helping students realize their full potential.

This will be my 25th year in education and it gets better every year! I have been blessed to be in  WISD for 5 years. In the past I served as the Reading Language Arts Instructional Consultant and Assistant Principal for the past 3 years.  On a personal note, I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 29 years, have 2 wonderful daughters and 1 soon-to-be son in-law. :).  We live in Whitehouse and simply love it!

One of my favorite quotes is “Savor every day you have the privilege to lead” because I believe we are all leaders in some way. One of my passions in education is to help students and teachers build their capacity to lead where they are planted. I know this is going to be a fantastic year at Brown Elementary and I am honored to be here! If there is anything that you need, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Here for you,
