K-6th grade students MUST have parent/guardian present to attend football games

Moving forward, students in grades K-6th will be required to have a parent/guardian with them to attend football games at Wildcat Stadium. Students are encouraged to stay in the stands and sit near those guardians unless they are making a trip to the restroom or purchasing items at the concession stand.
Also, students caught roughhousing or exhibiting other inappropriate behavior (i.e. throwing ice or cups) at the game could be removed not only for that game, but for the remainder of the season and possibly future years. Administrators at the elementary campuses and Holloway 6th grade campus have made students aware of these changes.
As always, the football team loves the support they receive from each student and family member and we want to invite you to cheer on your Wildcats!

Thank you for your cooperation.

Whitehouse ISD Education Foundation awards more than $72,000 in grants

The Whitehouse ISD Education Foundation awarded $72,500 in grants to Whitehouse ISD on September 28th during Prize Patrol. Thirty grants were given across all campuses in the district including two district-wide grants and three grants that included multiple campuses. The grants ranged from audio books for blooming kindergarten readers to sensory activities for life skills students to maker-space items for all of the campuses.
We funded Sphero robots for math class, ukuleles for music class, and augmented reality systems for science class. The district staff really brought the innovation this year with their grant applications and the Foundation was honored to fund these amazing ideas.

On Friday, October 5th, the Whitehouse ISD Education Foundation will be honored during a pre-game ceremony for their dedication to supporting education and accelerating innovation for WISD students. Over the past 5 years, the Foundation has awarded more than $300,000 in grants to district employees. WISD Education Foundation President Meagan Schneider says, “We look forward to a long lasting partnership with the district and the community so that we can continue to enrich the quality of education for all students in the district.”
