I'm the dyslexia teacher here at Cain Elementary. This is my 5th year in this position and I love it. I am beginning my 16th year here at Cain; I taught 1st grade for 11 years.
I received my degree from Stephen F. Austin in Dec. 1991. My first teaching position was at Midlothian Middle School teaching 6,7, and 8 grade Reading and Lang. Arts Special Education. I taught at the Middle School level for 5 years before moving to the elementary level where I taught another 5 years before moving to Whitehouse ISD.
I have a wonderful husband, Rick, and 3 beautiful children, a new daughter-in -law and a grandson. Seth loves playing Angry Birds and watching bowling on his iPad. He also loves to do crafts. Blake and Daisy are kept busy by their sweet baby, Wiley. Mahayla has started her first year of college at the University of Arkansas at Monticello and will play softball for them this spring.
My family has always kept me busy, but as they grow and move on I have discovered that I have time to do other things. I like to scrapbook and do crafts and am becoming more involved with church activities.
