Welcome to Mrs. Mosley's 4th Grade Class!
A little about me...
I grew up right down the road in Jacksonville, Texas. I graduated from Jacksonville High School in 2006 and immediately started college. I finished my degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2009. I actually received a degree in Marketing from SFA, but quickly decided after graduating that teaching was what I wanted to do. I was able to work on earning my certificate while also teaching my first 4th grade class. After a year of learning a lot about this career, in and out of the classroom, I received my official teaching certificate. It was the best decision I've ever made!
My teaching career began in the fall of 2010 in Jacksonville where I taught 4th grade at West Side Elementary. I taught every subject, but I was in charge of planning the lessons in Language Arts and Reading for our grade level. Through that, I have spent many hours doing research and have learned so many great ways to make sure my students are successful. I absolutely love teaching. It is one of the most fun and rewarding jobs, and I wouldn't do anything else!
I am married to my husband, Markus, and have an 8 year old son, Koen. He is in 3rd Grade at Cain this year, and I love having him here with me. He also makes frequent visits into my classroom, so chances are your child will meet him, too! I am very close with my family and enjoy having cookouts, going on vacations, and just spending quality time with all of them. In fact, my mom works right down the hall! You could say we are a very tight-knit bunch.
This year, we are an official No Excuses University school. This program teaches students about college readiness and gets them excited about their academic futures. My classroom has adopted Boise State University. Go Broncos! I can't wait to share information about all Boise State University has to offer!
I am so excited for another wonderful year at Cain Elementary!
