My name is Somer Bockover and I am one of the chemistry teachers at Whitehouse High School. I have taught for 7 years, 4 of which have been here at Whitehouse. Teaching is my passion.
I entered college with the aspirations of becoming a doctor. I majored in Biology at Baylor University and later transferred to Texas Woman's University in Denton. I married my husband in the spring of my senior year of college and upon graduation moved to Tyler for his job. I had every intention of going back to medical school after a short break. During this break I landed a teaching job. Needless to say, I fell in LOVE with teaching! I cannot see myself in any other profession.
My husband and I have 2 boys, 5 1/2 and 15 months. We also have 2 fur babies.
