With the start of the 2017-2018 school year, I am in my thirtieth year as an educator. In all these years, I have worked for only two districts, the Tyler Independent School District and the Whitehouse Independent School District. I was a middle school teacher and coach for TISD, spending almost fifteen years at Hubbard Middle School and when I came to Whitehouse ISD seventeen years ago, I served as an assistant principal at Higgins Intermediate School for seven years. With the realignment ten years ago, I moved to Brown Elementary as principal and held that position for nine years. This is my first year at Holloway, serving again as an assistant principal.
While it has been a long time since I have been around so many 6th graders on a daily basis, it is fun and challenging and the staff has been so welcoming and helpful to me. Holloway is a great transitional campus for students before they begin their junior high years.
