Welcome to my class. This year I will be teaching Dual Credit English III and Dual Credit English IV.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts at Texas Tech, and earned my Master of Arts at the University of Texas at Arlington. I have taught in the Dallas ISD and Tyler ISD, and this will be my fifth year at Whitehouse High School.
I have taught English IV, AP, and dual credit classes for the past fifteen years, and I really enjoy sharing literature with my students.
Dual Credit English IV classes will focus on world literature, from ancient works to the Renaissance first semester, and from Renaissance to contemporary works in the second. Students will receive college credit for sophomore level World Literature.
Dual Credit English III classes will focus on Composition, and students receive college credit for college level Freshman Composition.
As these classes can be quite rigorous, I feel it is important for me to be available often for tutorials. I am available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during B-Lunch, and before or after school if arrangements are made.
My Schedule this year is as follows:
First Period: Dual Credit English III
Second Period: Dual Credit English IV
Third Period: Dual Credit English IV
Fourth Period: Dual Credit English IV
Fifth Period: Dual Credit English III
Sixth Period: Conference
Seventh Period: Dual Credit English III
Eighth Period: Dual Credit English III
My Power Hour Schedule is as follows:
