Whitehouse Independent School District

"We only get one chance to prepare our students for a future that none of us can possibly predict. What are we going to do with that one chance?" - Stephen Covey
Welcome! My name is Joe Farmer and I'm honored to be teaching engineering at WHS. I'm an East Texas native, born and raised in Whitehouse, and have progressed through the entire Whitehouse school system from K-12th. I've earned my Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering as well as a Master's Degree in Business Management, both from The University of Texas at Tyler. I bring with me extensive experience in several disciplines including automation, manufacturing, process engineering, product engineering, and plant management. I have worked in textile manufacturing, the medical device industry, as well as the oil and gas sector.
I'm passionate about engineering and plan to equip my students with the relevant tools and knowledge they will need in order to further pursue this field. I truly believe the students at WHS today have the potential to be the next generation of world-class engineers. I'm excited to be a part of their development.
Please feel free to contact me anytime with questions or concerns. Looking forward to a great year.
