The Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) was created by the Texas Legislature with the 2019 passage of House Bill 3. TIA creates a tangible pathway for the state’s most effective teachers to earn a six-figure salary. Whitehouse ISD believes that our teachers are the most important school-based factor for improving student achievement. The Teacher Incentive Allotment allows us to provide additional compensation to our most highly effective teachers.
To qualify for TIA funds, districts must implement a teacher evaluation system that combines observations of teacher practice with measures of student growth. With an approved cohort D system application, the 2021-2022 school year is our data capture year.

At Whitehouse ISD, our instructional plans are built on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), the state standards that outline what students should know and be able to do at each grade level. TEKS ensure a strong foundation for learning, guiding our teachers in creating engaging lessons that prepare students for success in school and beyond.
