    Why I serve:

My mom was a career teacher and counselor at the elementary, high school, and junior college levels, so I grew up with an ingrained appreciation for the value of education and the work educators do. I was the beneficiary of the talents of some great teachers along my education journey, and for that I am grateful. I believe our future depends on educating our children, and I see any small role I can play in furthering that endeavor as a privilege.

    Why I serve:

My desire and decision to serve on the school board is rooted in my love for our community. Whitehouse ISD is blessed by devoted teachers, administrators, and support staff on every campus. As both a former student and a parent of multiple Whitehouse ISD graduates, I am personally grateful for the time and sacrifice that I know is poured into every student who enters our classrooms. It is my joy to serve those who so honorably serve our community.

    Why I serve:

I have always been interested in service to others, as I have had the blessing to care for people as an orthopedic surgeon for the last 30 years. I have also had the privilege to serve in the United States Air Force as well. This naturally led to my desire to contribute my talents to help improve the quality of education at Whitehouse Independent School District. All three of my children were students at WISD and had an incredible educational experience. We are grateful for the dedication and top-notch instruction that they received from our highly qualified teachers. In recognition of this, I felt I should also be willing to support their efforts in maintaining and improving upon the success already achieved. I am grateful to have this opportunity to serve in this capacity as the educational growth of our children is paramount for their success in their lives. My desire is to provide every student with the tools necessary to become a productive and outstanding citizen and I believe my service on the Board is my way to contribute to their success.
