This year, our district theme has been One Town. One Family. One Whitehouse, and as we look ahead to next school year, we’re building on that foundation with a continued focus on what brings us together. In 2026–2027, our theme will be Serve.
To serve means putting others before ourselves, showing up with purpose, and committing to something bigger than any one individual. It’s how we support our students, encourage one another, and strengthen the relationships that make Whitehouse so special. One of the things we value most is recognizing those individuals who help shape our schools and community in meaningful ways. If you know someone who represents the spirit of Whitehouse through the way they serve others, we would love to hear about them. Please take a moment to share their name and a short note using this link. |
Do you have a little one ready to start their Wildcat journey? Pre-K and Kindergarten enrollment for the 2026–2027 school year opens April 1, and we can’t wait to welcome our newest Wildcats.
Families who need Pre-K eligibility verification or assistance with registration are invited to attend the Pre-K & Kinder Round-Up at the WISD Education Support Center, located at 104 Highway 110 North, on April 7 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. or April 8 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
All registered Pre-K and Kindergarten students are also invited to attend our Campus Tour event at their home elementary campus on April 16 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity to meet campus leaders and visit classrooms as families prepare for the upcoming school year. |
Over the next several weeks, students will participate in benchmark assessments, STAAR testing, and, for many high school students, college readiness exams. Seniors are also working toward completing final graduation requirements as the year moves toward the finish line.
We know this can be a busy and sometimes stressful time. We encourage students to do their best while remembering that these tests are just one measure of progress. A good night’s rest, a steady routine, and encouragement from home can make a big difference. |
We are always looking for ways to grow and improve, and your feedback plays an important role in that process. Our annual campus climate surveys will be open April 2 through April 12, and you will receive a link to these surveys from your principal. These surveys provide an opportunity to share what is working well and where we can continue to improve. We encourage families to take a few minutes to participate when the survey is shared by your campus. |
Senior families, I know this is a season you’ve been looking forward to for a long time, and it’s hard to believe it’s almost here. The next several weeks will be filled with special moments and milestones as we celebrate the Class of 2026: - April 11: Prom at Hollytree Country Club
- May 1: Decision Day, as students take their next step after graduation
- May 13: Senior Awards, recognizing their hard work and achievements
- May 19: Senior Elementary Walk, where students return to the campuses where their Wildcat journey began
- May 19: Senior Sunset, a time to reflect and celebrate together
- May 20: Final Field Day
- May 22: Graduation at Wildcat Stadium at 8:30 p.m.
And if you need one more reminder that this moment is here, Graduate 2026 yard signs are starting to pop up all across our community. Our transportation team delivered signs to many homes, and students have also been picking them up at the high school. It’s exciting to see these small celebrations of a big milestone. We look forward to honoring and celebrating this class in the weeks ahead. |
Please join me in congratulating Ashley Mosley from Higgins Elementary, our District Elementary Teacher of the Year, and Sharon Garner from Whitehouse High School, our District Secondary Teacher of the Year. Both educators reflect the heart of teaching in Whitehouse ISD and the difference great teachers make in the lives of students.
This year, a committee made up of Ready-Set-Teach students, community members, and district staff reviewed each application. It was a great reminder of just how strong our teaching staff is across the district. We are also grateful to all of our Campus Teachers of the Year for the impact they make each day. |
Earlier this month, our campuses celebrated Read Across America Week, highlighting the importance of literacy and a love for reading. I had the chance to visit Cain Elementary and read Little Red Hot to our kindergarten students. The students were engaged from start to finish, and it was a great reminder of how powerful reading can be in a child’s life. |
Students across Whitehouse ISD recently participated in our annual Robotics Competition, sponsored by Trane Technologies, The Genesis Group, Brookshire’s, UT Tyler and Morris Drywall Systems. After weeks of preparation, teams showcased their creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork. It was an honor to serve as a judge and see our students in action in a different setting. |
Whitehouse ISD is proud to partner with Traditions Portraits as our school photography vendor for the remainder of the school year. Campuses are currently working to schedule picture days, and families will receive more information as those dates are finalized. For additional details about digital safety and security practices, please visit the Traditions Portraits website. |
What makes Whitehouse special is how this community shows up for our schools. Through the Education Foundation’s Celebration of Innovation, more than $77,000 was raised by local businesses and families to support our teachers and classrooms.
That support comes to life through programs like Wildcat Den, where educators step forward with big ideas and walk away with the resources to make them happen. This spring, five grants were funded across the district, bringing new opportunities into classrooms and expanding what’s possible for our students. |
Our Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSO) students have had an incredible month, competing in a wide range of events and representing Whitehouse ISD with pride!S
Across multiple programs, including HOSA, BPA, FFA, TSPA, and FCCLA, students advanced to area, state, and national levels, earning top placements, medals, and recognitions along the way. From leadership conferences and academic competitions to livestock shows and hands-on skill events, our students continue to demonstrate their dedication and hard work. |
The First Ladies had an outstanding performance at the American Dance Drill Team Celebration Showcase, earning top honors across the competition. Both the team and officer line placed first in their divisions and were named Best of the Best overall. Their commitment to excellence, teamwork, and academics continues to set them apart. |
We recently celebrated another group of student-athletes who have committed to continuing their academic and athletic careers at the next level. Their hard work and dedication have created opportunities that will carry them forward, and we are proud of each of them as they begin this next chapter. - Tayla Morris, Basketball, Newman University
- Indeya Williams, Basketball, Tyler Junior College
- Makiah Mburugu, Softball, Jarvis Christian College
- Muhammad Diarra, Football, Texas Wesleyan University
- Debraylon Marshall, Football, Texas College

Each week, we continue to recognize students who go above and beyond. These students reflect the character, leadership, and kindness we strive to develop across our district. We have incredible students doing great things every day, and we look forward to continuing to celebrate them. |
If you’re available tonight, join us for Spotlight on Spirit at Whitehouse High School. This event celebrates 70 years of Wildcat cheer and includes a spirit market, dinner, and a showcase performance beginning at 7:00 p.m. It’s a great opportunity to celebrate the traditions and pride that make Whitehouse special.
To help you stay connected with everything happening this spring, we’ve linked our calendars below. |
As we head into April, there will be no school on Friday, April 3, in observance of Good Friday. We hope your family enjoys the long weekend.
